MAJOR UPWARDS TRENDS IN RV RENTALS THANKS TO BABY BOOMERS

By the end of this year, every baby boomer will be over the age of fifty. One market sector that has seen major growth trends as baby boomers age is RV rental in Kansas City. It makes sense when you get a sense for their income, the place they are at in life, and the amount of time they have to finally get out and travel.

There have been jumps in sales in the RV market by as much as 36%. Not everyone is buying, but the people who are, are doing so with ferocity. In this case, the thanks can go to the baby boomer generation. Baby boomers love to travel, and don’t want to do it in their vehicle or in a plane either. Although saving money is important, it isn’t the only motivation in choosing RVs. Many baby boomers want to be able to spend time seeing friends and families across the country, but don’t want to put anybody out. An RV allows them to spend quality time with people they care about while having their own space to enjoy during the trip.

Not everyone has the time or money to travel, but baby boomers do. With those over 50 holding $7 trillion dollars in personal wealth, and a sincere desire to travel, it’s no wonder that they are making the most of RV rentals. As opposed to people in younger age brackets, people over 50 count around half of their money as discretionary. Once people are done raising their kids, have paid off big debts, and have significant savings, it makes sense to go travel.

Of all the leisure travel in the United States, people over 50 were paying for 80 percent of it. As baby boomers continue to turn fifty and older, we can expect RV rentals in Kansas City to continue to go up as well. People over fifty report that travel is of top importance, matched only by family time and getting new experiences. Forget expensive planes and hotels, complicated arrangements in cramped homes, or spending cold nights in a tent. An RV is the perfect solution.

The truth is that RV travel is only going to continue to grow. There is so much to be gained. Travel the country with friends and family, enjoy the comforts of home on the road, and spend less than you would on air fare. Why miss out on all that you can gain through RV travel because you don’t have the money to buy one? When you rent an RV, you get all the perks with none of the work and lower costs.
