New Haven RV Rental Infographic Video
As of this year, the baby boomer generation will all be at least fifty years old. With more baby boomers hitting fifty, there have been major increases in RV rentals in New Haven. It makes sense when you get a sense for their income, the place they are at in life, and the amount of time they have to finally get out and travel.
Shockingly, the new millennium brought with it a stunning trend. There was a growth in RV sales by as much as 36%. This surge in sales is not mostly twenty, thirty or forty year olds. This growth trend is due to renewed interest cultivated by the baby boomer generation. The desire to travel, to see family, and to be able to do so without spending as much on air fare and being cramped in a car all make RV travel stand out. Although saving money is important, it isn’t the only motivation in choosing RVs. Going to see friends and family is extremely important to baby boomers, but demanding a host isn’t always comfortable or easy. An RV allows them to spend quality time with people they care about while having their own space to enjoy during the trip.
Not everyone has the time or money to travel, but baby boomers do. The population over fifty accounts for $7 trillion dollars in personal wealth, meaning that they have some money to spend on traveling. As opposed to people in younger age brackets, people over 50 count around half of their money as discretionary. Once people are done raising their kids, have paid off big debts, and have significant savings, it makes sense to go travel.
Eighty percent of leisure travel is enjoyed by those over 50. RV rentals in New Haven have already trended upward, but with baby boomers all being either fifty or older, that trend is only expected to increase. The truth is that after 50, there is no better time to finally indulge in the adventures, travel and family time that they value. Baby boomers are able to travel in style and comfort in an RV, without having to worry about expensive hotels, cramped spaces with family, or roughing it in the woods with a tent.
The truth is that RV travel is only going to continue to grow. There are so many benefits to traveling this way. There is more flexibility, comfort and leisure throughout road trips, and lower costs than planes and hotels. For some, buying an RV is where it’s at. But for the majority, that costs too much. Instead of getting into debt to do what you love, you can rent an RV and get all the benefits with none of the work.
